Tim Richards has over 30 years experience in the payments industry and related areas covering everything from the original EMV rollout through to e-Identity and e-Passport and including transit and mobile payments.
As Principal Consultant, Tim heads up the Open Banking practice at Consult Hyperion, the international technology company specialising in secure transactions. He provides specialist consultancy to banks, payment schemes, payment scheme intermediaries and retailers.
José-Luis is Deputy Managing Director at Iberpay, responsible for International and Business Development, since Iberpay was created in 2005. At this time, he was Managing Director of the Interbank Payment Service, the company that was transformed to create Iberpay. He has a solid background as a central banker after 15 years working at the Spanish Central Bank, including a secondment at the European Central Bank.
José-Luis is member of the ECB Advisory Group on Market Infrastructures for Payments (AMI-Pay) and represents Iberpay at the ECB Euro Cyber Resilience Board for pan-European Financial Infrastructures (ECRB).
He is also Deputy Chairman of European Automated Clearing House Association (EACHA) and member of its Board of Directors.

Vince Warrington is a leading cyber security with over 20 years-experience heading-up large-scale, organisation-wide IT and cyber security programmes for central Government departments, blue chip private companies and well-known voluntary organisations across the globe. These have included: The Financial Conduct Authority, Open Banking, HM Treasury, and Saudi Aramco.

As MD of International Corporate, Steven has overall responsibility for merchant acquiring and payment gateway solutions in the International Corporate sphere within Barclays’ Card and Payments division. Prior to this, Steven led the global payment gateway and merchant acquiring sales teams covering multinational, large, mid-corporate and small business segments.
Steven began his career at Barclays in 2002 and has held a variety of sales and sales leadership roles across Cards & Payments, having been close to key developments in that time – from Chip & PIN, through to Contactless and the significant growth of eCommerce and mobile transactions incorporating alternative payment methods and digital wallets.
In recent years Steven has led and grown multiple global sales teams including European and US coverage alongside a deep focus on all segments across the UK. He has spent much of his time helping large corporate clients navigate the evermore complex payments landscape.

Gary Farrow is Director of Triari Consulting, a consultancy specialising in regulatory-techni¬cal consulting and provider of IT architecture advisory services for the financial sector. As a lead architect on many successful programmes, he has undertaken senior roles at major banks and financial services firms in the UK and was the Chief Architect on the UK’s Open Banking initiative. Gary has deep domain specialism in payments systems architectures and cash/liquidity management solutions and broad experience across multiple financial ser¬vices domains. Recent interests relate to the application of intelligent automation and AI to banking operational processing. His work on payments systems architecture has been widely published and is a regular contributor and reviewer for the Journal of Payment Strategy and Systems. Javier Santamaría is the Chair of the European Payments Council since June 2012, and has been one of its members since its creation in 2002. During decades as a bank employee, Mr. Santamaría accumulated a broad and balanced expertise in the intertwined dimensions of payments – business-related, operational, technical – across different client segments and product lines, in the legacy and the innovative spheres, which he now further develops as an independent self-employed professional. Mr Santamaría is also Chair of the Iberpay Board. Former Head of Operations and Business Services, he was Senior Vice President at Banco Santander until December 2016. Ronan is a Principal Architect for Bank Of Ireland for Core Banking, delivering new technology and solutions to Bank Customers. After an IT carrer as service provider, Richard Aernout has worked at Banque de France (French National Bank) since 2017.
Between november 2017 and november 2020, Richard has drived a team of 15 business analysts, in charge of the SWIFT infrastructure at the Banque de France and all the compliance architecture including AML, fight against financing of terrorism and fight against fraud. Through this experience, he has enhanced his skills on this topics by integrating market softwares and designing in-house applications.

Since July 2019 Emile Hennequin has been active in ABN AMRO’s Open Banking (OB) team with focus on transaction banking, responsible for Sales and Partnerships of commercial APIs. Prior to that, Emile headed ABN AMRO’s Rotterdam based Cash & Liquidity Management Sales team for Large Corporates as of 2010, while servicing an international client portfolio active in the sectors Retail, Industry and Technology. Before that Emile held various positions in consulting and relationship management at Fortis Bank, ING and MeesPierson.
Phil Hong is EMEA Digital Channels Head for Citi’s Treasury and Trade Solutions business, and has responsibility for API, host-to-host, SWIFT and online banking customer channels, plus also statements, reporting services, and digital security. Digital Channels enable Citi’s corporate and institutional customers to access Citi’s global payments, collections, trade, supplier finance and other cash management services, including through the integration of client ERP and treasury management systems. Phil has played a leading role in Citi’s approach to PSD2 and Open Banking, participating in UK OBIE and UK Finance discussions. Prior to joining Citi in 2007, Phil spent four years at American Express managing commercial card products, and 12 years at Thomson Reuters in product, market management and technology roles, developing real-time dealing and market information products for wholesale financial markets.
Andrea is a Group Product Owner for delivery of PSD2 APIs and further “beyond PSD2” premium API use cases in Raiffeisen Bank International. Having implemented PSD2 APIs for Raiffeisen Network Banks from the EU area (CZ, BG, HR, HU, RO) according to the Berlin Group standard and Czech Open Banking Standard, she ensured successful delivery of both Sandbox and production APIs solutions within regulatory deadlines, achieving fallback exemptions from National regulators. Andrea has a background of Business Analyst and Credit Analyst, with 8 years of banking and consulting experience, currently focused on Open Banking use cases.
As Head of Digital Payments and Services, Gian Battista is currently responsible for developing and positioning strategies for innovative payment and Open Banking solutions both for retail and business customers of Intesa Sanpaolo, the largest bank in Italy. This role exposes Gian Battista to several challenges every day in leading his team, dealing with a highly competitive market and negotiating with third party players such as Payment networks, fintechs and non-financial service providers, in addition to fostering the digital culture within a territory anchored giant. Moreover, in his tenure at Intesa Sanpaolo he has been working on the ideation, creation and launch of some of the most innovative digital products of the bank such as the mobile wallet of the bank, called XME Wallet, that help customers managing their expenses and gain access to the most innovative payment solution in the market such as Apple Pay and Samsung Pay. As well, he is responsible for the creation of new solutions in the Open Banking field, such as XME banks, the new financial aggregator (AISP & PISP) provided by Intesa Sanpaolo. Antonio has been working at the EBA for 3 years on payments-related topic. He has led the development of a number of PSD2 mandates, the EBA Opinions on SCA and eIDAS, the EBA PSD2 Register and the work on PSD2 Q&As. He has also been actively involved in the EBA API WG and the major incident reporting under PSD2. He has lead the development of the EBA flagship publication in the consumer protection space – the Consumer Trends Report. Before joining the EBA, Antonio was a head of unit at the Bulgarian National Bank and responsible for authorisation and supervision of payment service providers. Antonio was also a senior expert in a project for transposition of PSD and EMD in the Macedonian legislation. He also used to teach Banking in a university in Bulgaria.
