Jin Gwak

Jin Gwak has over 20 years of in-depth experience in technology leadership; with 10 years spent in the credit union industry. Jin is Chief Digital and Information Officer of AmeriCU Credit Union; an impressive $2.7 billion credit union serving over nine Counties throughout Central and Northern New York and beyond.

In her role at AmeriCU Gwak oversees the Member Technology Services team and is responsible for providing a visionary approach to leading and growing the credit union, in collaboration with the executive leadership team. Jin remains focused on developing and implementing a digital-first technology strategy aligned with the organization’s vision and mission. She uses her knowledge and skills to advance the credit union’s infrastructure and e-delivery channels to create exceptional member and employee experiences.

Before joining AmeriCU, Gwak began her technology career as a network engineer consultant for Altria and serving as a telecommunications and network manager for Raymour & Flanigan Furniture and Mattress. Jin came to AmeriCU in 2013 as Manager of Network Services. In 2019, she was promoted to the credit union’s Chief Digital and Information Officer.

Jin earned her Master’s Degree in Computer Science from New York University-Polytechnic School of Engineering and holds a Certificate in Business Digital Strategies from Columbia Business School. She has been asked to speak at various industry conferences and was recently featured in Toggle Magazine.
