Phil Hong

Phil Hong is EMEA Digital Channels Head for Citi’s Treasury and Trade Solutions business, and has responsibility for API, host-to-host, SWIFT and online banking customer channels, plus also statements, reporting services, and digital security. Digital Channels enable Citi’s corporate and institutional customers to access Citi’s global payments, collections, trade, supplier finance and other cash management services, including through the integration of client ERP and treasury management systems. Phil has played a leading role in Citi’s approach to PSD2 and Open Banking, participating in UK OBIE and UK Finance discussions. Prior to joining Citi in 2007, Phil spent four years at American Express managing commercial card products, and 12 years at Thomson Reuters in product, market management and technology roles, developing real-time dealing and market information products for wholesale financial markets.
