Dr. Thomas Fromherz

Thomas Fromherz studied physics at the ETH Zurich and holds a PhD in physics from the University of Zurich. In Los Angeles, he worked as Director of Engineering and Senior Research Scientist for various companies until he joined the Netcetera Group in 2002. During seven years at Netcetera and Metaversum, he successfully managed several complex IT development projects. Subsequently, the experienced Business Development & Sales Manager developed the new Business Unit Payment & Card Services into one of Netcetera’s largest units. The acquisition of German & Austrian key clients during this time led to the opening and support of Netcetera’s first German location. In his subsequent role as “Chief Strategy Officer, Payments”, the proven payment expert developed and maintained a strategic overview of the factors influencing the payment domain in the company’s regulatory, technical and competitive environment for three years and supported key clients and partners around future-oriented technologies and payment systems. During this time, he also prepared Netcetera’s market entry into Asia Pacific and supported the foundation and subsequent staffing of the new Singapore office. Today, as a “Fellow”, he works on special mandates of the entire Netcetera Group.
