Daniel Sechi is the Director Technology Strategy & Portfolio Management of Santander Bank in Germany. Before being appointed Director of Technology Strategy & Portfolio Management Daniel was leading Santander’s Digital Transformation unit for Digital Sales.

He’s a senior executive with +20 years of working experience at Banco Santander in multiple IT- and non-IT functions and is currently member of Santander Germany Senior Leadership team, overarching responsible for IT Strategy and Transformation

During his career, he has been driving Digital and Technology transformations as well as Post Merger Integration projects. His current focus is on IT transformation and the strategic evolution of legacy systems towards new cloud-based capabilities and new customer-centric technology stacks.

In parallel to his tenure in the Banking Industry, Daniel is holding teaching positions as tutor and assistant professor on Digital Transformation, Project- and Change Management as well as on Leadership and Communication.

Daniel has a degree in business administration and commercial law from the university of applied science Niederrhein, and an education in Banking and Finance from the chamber of commerce.

Patrick De Neef

As Chief Innovation Officer, Patrick de Neef is responsible for the digital transformation of DNB’s supervisory divisions. This transformation requires innovation in terms of resources, attitudes and mindsets. From new data architecture to the straight through processing of all supervisory processes and, ultimately, the digital competences needed to derive maximum benefit from them. Patrick is also responsible for DNB’s digital platform that enables cooperation with the sector: the iForum. DNB’s overall digital innovation agenda, which includes central bank tasks and resolution, is driven by the DNB Digital Agenda Board, which Patrick chairs.

After starting his career at one of the major Dutch banks, Patrick made the switch to DNB in 2007, dealing in particular with banking supervision. He then moved into digitalisation, with a specific focus on European banking supervision under the ECB’s Single Supervisory Mechanism (SSM) and the European Banking Authority (EBA).

Katharina Paust-Bokrezion is an experienced banking and payment professional working in the industry for more than 20 years. She has been with Deutsche Bank since 2004.

In her current role as the Head of Payments Policy in the Political Affairs team she is responsible for establishing and executing the global advocacy strategy of the organisation covering developments in the areas of payments, crypto-assets and central bank digital currencies and engaging with political and regulatory representatives on these matters.

Katharina’s roots are in the capital markets and securities services sector where she was a relationship manager for institutional clients and their portfolio across the European markets. She then became a product manager for post-trade, clearing and custody services which included the expansion of the Deutsche Bank franchise into further regions globally.

Additionally, as a member of the global Diversity & Inclusion team of Deutsche Bank, Katharina contributed to establishing a diverse and inclusive work culture across the organisation including the implementation of the German gender quota law. She continues to be passionately engaged in several employee resource groups and initiatives, including being the “advisory-mother” in the network Fathers@DB.

Ana-Maria Vasile

Ana-Maria Vasile, CAMS-RM, IRMCert, has a broad expertise on Anti-Financial Crime and Enterprise Risk Management, with 15 years of practical experience in the financial services industry and bringing a specialized educational background in this respect. Currently, she is the Chief Compliance Officer at CEC Bank Romania, coordinating the overall Regulatory, Compliance Risk Management, AML/CTF and Sanctions Compliance activities within the bank.

As part of her experience, Ana was involved in the implementation of global policies and internal controls for the prevention of financial crime risks related to TBML, including the development of a one-of-its-kind in-house monitoring application for Trade Finance transaction monitoring within Commerzbank AG.

Prior to joining Commerzbank, Ana was a Manager in the forensic practice of Deloitte, her focus areas and responsibilities being related to delivering projects on the implementation of ML/TF risk management programs in financial institutions, targeted financial sanctions, FATCA implementation, fraud and money laundering investigations, fraud detection, transaction monitoring for various financial products, funds tracking, assessment of AML/CTF compliance activity within financial institutions and implementation and assessment of AFC/Sanctions/Ethics and Compliance programs.

Additionally, she also has extensive experience in the country risk assessment practice, as she was a subject matter expert in the ML/TF National Risk Assessments projects for Lithuania (2015) and Latvia (2016).

She has been working in consulting for 12 years with 7 years working for KPMG Belgium. Throughout her career she was dealing with environment in transformation all the way from IT transformation to organisational & processes reviews.

She is now working for a digital bank in Belgium – Keytrade Bank and , as Head of Transformation, she has notably performed a major Agile transformation for the whole company. She is also dealing with the organizational aspects of the company and the management of the portfolio of technologically related initiatives. She is also performing the strategy coordination through the organization, in order to align the roadmap execution to the strategy. She joined the Executive Committee of Keytrade Bank in 2020.
